Writing Contest: “A Letter to Self”

As part of the programme running alongside the “Light and Shadow” exhibition, the writing contest “A Letter to Self” invites you to travel back into your past or to imagine your own future. Write to yourself as you were five years ago, to go back over what was left unsaid; or to yourself ten years from now, to pass on the hopes, dreams and feelings of today. We are sometimes so caught up in the cares of daily life that we forget to set aside time to reflect on ourselves. This contest makes room for you to look back on the time that has passed, while looking ahead to the good things still to come. Word by word, you will have the chance to set down the feelings, the experiences and the things you wish to say to yourself.

Dates: The contest opens on 21 January 2025 and closes on 20 February 2025. How to take part: You can send in your story online, or come and write it in person at the “Light and Shadow” exhibition at Tách Spaces (20 Hai Bà Trưng, Hoàn Kiếm, Hanoi). In-person writing runs from 14 to 20 February 2025. Requirements: Entries should be at least 350 words long. We encourage you to include a photograph to bring out the feeling of your story. Submit your story: Enter here. Results: The most remarkable story will be announced between 25 February and 5 March 2025 on R Parfums’ media channels. The winner will be notified by email or message.
